I am a self confessed lifestyle obsessive and enjoy anything which requires a creative eye, the need to wear an apron or comes wrapped in tissue paper and tied with a ribbon.
In general, I think I have bit of a girly, fairytale outlook on life (cute things, pretty things, prettier things) but my other half has this tendency of covering my life in mud. Don't get me wrong, I love him completely and we are each others soul mates but, if I had to compare us to something it would be like french fries and ice cream. Not really supposed to go together but if you have the courage to try, damn that's one tasty treat!
Anyway, what I'm trying to say is...our life as a newly married couple is amazingly weird. We live in the UK but Zane has his own travel company which runs photographic Safaris in Africa. He is over there every few months running his safaris, and I'm here looking after the humble abode, treating myself to home wear, fancy wear and the occasional tub of 'woe is me' ice cream.
I wanted to start this blog as a running commentary of the life of a Safari Wife, it's sure to be a bumpy ride.
